A Vocation is like a seed. A seed cannot take root or grow in just any kind of soil or climate. To reach its fullest flowering, it must be cared for and cultivated. It is up to each Catholic home to provide the proper atmosphere for growth and development of this precious seed.

Please call the Rectory, if you are new to the area, moving out of the Parish or to a new address within the Parish

God’s Plan For Giving.

"The just man’s sacrifice is most pleasing, nor will it ever be forgotten....with each contribution show a cheerful countenance and pay your tithes in a spirit of joy....Give to the Most High as He has given to you, generously according to your means...For the Lord is one who always repays and He will give you back sevenfold." (Sir.35)

Thank you for your continued generosity to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.

EASTER THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

The message, the spirit and the impact of Easter go on throughout the entire year. Every use of blessed water reminds us of our baptism into the death and Resurrection of the Lord. Every celebration of the Eucharist is a commemoration of Jesus’ passion, death and Resurrection. Every Sunday throughout the year is a miniature Easter celebration, reminding us that,

“Christ has died,
Christ is risen,
Christ will come again.”

New Changes In The Mass

The new General Instruction of the Roman Missal has defined the four major changes to our posture during the Mass. These changes are to be in effect immediately.

All ministers of the Altar including Priests, Cantor, Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion must genuflect, if physically able to do so, upon approaching and leaving the altar.
During the Profession of Faith (The Creed) we all should bow our heads at the words "by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man."
During the Eucharistic Prayer we all stand at the start of the prayer response that begins "May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands..."
All communicants must gently, but markedly bow their heads in reverence immediately before receiving Holy Communion.
